Preschool

Anna started going to her preschool yesterday. We explained to her that both her brother and sister also go to school, so she had to do the same thing. We assured her that mommy and daddy would pick her up in the afternoon after work. Daddy sent her to school in the morning, and unsurprisingly, she started crying when daddy had to leave for work. Here is what her teacher wrote on her report to us at the end of the day:
"Anna had a very normal first day! She observed and took in a lot, was quite, and watched. She did eat all of her lunch & laid in her cot and fell right asleep at naptime, which was great! We are excited to have Anna in our class!"

Today was her second day, and she cried again when daddy left. However, she seemed to be more comfortable. Here is her teacher's note:
"Anna had a much happier day! She played outside, chasing bubbles and climbing in the play structure! Anna also enjoyed coloring in art and playing in our kitchen/dress up area. She's doing great!"

In addition, my husband's colleagues held a "baby" shower for Anna. She was shy at the party, only allowed one other person to hold her.

I hope that Anna will get used to her preschool very soon. I am looking forward to the day when she goes to school happily.
